Tintin's Movie Trailer Leaked

The trailer for Paramount Pictures’s The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn has hit YouTube seven months before the movie is set to premiere.
The movie, a collaboration between director Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson, uses motion-capture 3D technology (a la Avatar) to create very realistic computer animation. The first few seconds of the trailer tease the effect by showing characters in shadows and in a glass reflection.
The movie, based on the Belgian comic strip character, is set for U.S. release on December 23. Anticipation is so strong, though, that a fake YouTube trailer has gotten 80,000 views by telling viewers “Wait, don’t leave!” and then showing a few screenshots.

Google enters Bond Market

Google plans to raise cash by selling bonds for the first time in the company's history, the Internet search giant said Monday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Google (GOOG, Fortune 500) declined to comment about the size of the offering but news reports peg it at roughly $3 billion in short-to-medium term notes. The bonds are expected to be priced by market close Monday

Google currently sits on $36 billion in cash and short-term securities. But the bulk of that cash is tied up in overseas accounts, making it expensive to tap in the United States since Google would have to transfer and pay tax on the funds.

What's In a Name ??!!

First there was baby “Facebook” and now this: an Israeli couple has named their kid “Like.” Let the Valley Girl jokes ensue.
The Israeli news source Galgalatz reports that Lior and Vardit Adler are the proud parents of a bouncing baby girl named after the Facebook Like button, which recently celebrated its first birthday.
Apparently, the parents were looking to call their daughter something unique. The moniker is not meant to be a gimmick, and they say that they’re not shilling for Facebook. They just like (pun intended) the meaning behind the name.
The Adlers are hardly the first people to saddle their kid with a suspect name. One man offered to name his son Batman if he could get 500,000 people to become fans of his Facebook Page, and another couple named their child Facebook in honor of the role the social network played in the revolution in Egypt.

F1circuits still not the best racing tracks.....

Ever wondered why these super cars and bikes have this similar background?
Most of the land records broken are from this place , a very common site for speed testing. This place has also been featured in movies like POC & Independence Day.
This is Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats, one of the largest salt flats, a remnant of lake Bonneville and the speed way for testing is called Bonneville Speedway.
Originally, two tracks were prepared; a 10 mile long straightway for speed trials and an oval or circular track for distance runs, which was typically between 10 and 12 miles (16 and 19 km) long depending on the condition of the salt surface.
Speed Week, the largest meet of the year, which attracts several hundred drivers who compete to set highest speed in a range of categories is also organized here by Southern California Timing Association[1] and Bonneville Nationals Inc.

Electric Jaguar

It’s a plug-in hybrid electric car that works like the Chevy Volt, running on electric power that’s replenished by a gasoline engine. But that’s where the similarity ends. This road rocket has a 145kW electric motor on each wheel, powering it from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of at least 200 mph. According to Top Gear, those motors are expected to generate roughly 800 horsepower.
When it runs out of battery power (after traveling about 30 miles), the car’s batteries are recharged by a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine. Unfortunately, the twin micro-jet engines that recharged the concept car didn’t quite make it into the production model, but Top Gear says, “the fiery cannons of goodness might make it into a later section of the production run.” See what the twin microturbines look like through the rear window in the gallery below.
It wasn’t long ago when Jaguar presented its C-X75 electric supercar as a concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Now the company says the car’s going into production, hitting the streets in 2013.
